We have an excellent opportunity for a Full-time Regional HR Manager based in our Irvine, CA office*.  The Regional HR Manager leads a team including HR Business Partners and HR Generalists in providing HR support to an assigned group of Regions (Stores) and Support departments. They lead their team in providing broad HR consultation with a focus on Associate relations. The Regional HR Manager uses their expert knowledge of the business and HR disciplines to provide guidance to HRBPs on sensitive and complex workplace concerns, and sometimes works hands-on to resolve the issue. The Regional HR Manager resolves more difficult policy or compliance questions, and ensures consistency across the HRBP team. This person also manages one or more major department initiatives/projects, such as the engagement survey, compliance updates, technology support, etc. 

*This position is full-time, in-office only.

General Responsibilities
  • Leads Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs) and Human Resources Generalists (HRGs) in providing broad-range HR support to an assigned group of Regions (Stores) and Support departments. This includes providing leadership, guidance, and direction, delegating work, developing the team and individuals, establishing performance measures, and evaluating work performance.
  • Acts as an expert and trusted advisor to business leaders to create a strong culture of associate engagement, consistent and compliant administration of HR programs/processes, and fosters an environment of collaboration and support.
  • Manages one or more projects in support of a major department initiative, such as the engagement survey, technology support, or compliance updates. This includes creating timelines and deliverables, organizing resources, and communicating with HR and Operations leadership on the status of those projects. These are often complex projects, which require an understanding of business goals and priorities and include managing, communicating, and influencing change, and coordinating team members and other departments to achieve results.
  • Analyzes, interprets and enforces human resources-related policies and procedures.
  • Assists HR Manager in providing thought leadership and influence in the design and delivery of HR solutions.
  • Conducts management training regarding policies and procedures and related HR topics.
  • Partners with Legal to assist with preparing company response for EEOC/DFEH claims. 
  • Continuing education in all areas of the business that pertain to HR topics.
  • Perform other work-related job duties as required.

Full-time, Exempt
Hours: Monday - Friday 8 AM - 5 PM

Qualifications 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field is required; advanced degree is preferred
  • SHPR, SHRM-SCP preferred
  • 5+ years' experience in Human Resources with progressive responsibility required
  • 3+ years' experience in Human Resources Leadership and supervising Human Resources professionals required
  • Specialized Knowledge:  Advanced working knowledge in HR Disciplines, laws, and best practices, including Employee Relations and Investigations, Labor Law compliance, coaching and performance management, associate engagement, retention, and turnover, leadership development, and expert relationship building
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, Project Management
  • Strong customer service skills, including the ability to build trusting partnerships across the business.
  • Ability to strategically analyze data and examine issues while identifying themes and creating solutions. 
  • This position requires approximately 10% travel to both local and out of state locations.
  • Bilingual (English-Spanish) is a plus.
